Dr. Padval’s contributions to maternal healthcare have acquired numerous accolades, including:
Dr. Rahulkumar M Padvalhas done stellar work in rural healthcare that has saved thousands of lives of poor tribal Adivasi women of three states (Guj.,M.P, and Raj.),in villageghoda dungari, Dist.Dahod,Gujarat, by established first NABH( 50 bedded, 20 skilled dias and health workers, 28 nursing staff and three round the clock anaesthetic)rural based hospital dedicated to only high risk mothers and divyangwomen, withaim to provide tertiary care Obstetric and Gynec services at their door with affordable rate so decrease in MMR NMR AND NEAR MISS MORTALITY CASES, inspired by 5 yrs. of government service in the same most suffered tribal area of country.
Dr. Rahulkumar M Padval is a youngObstetrician and Gynaecologist, instrumental in providing life-saving Obstetrics & Gynaecologicalsurgeries involving high-risk pregnancies, in one of the biggest tribal districts of the country where earlier thousands of tribal Adivasi women would lose their lives yearly for want of better healthcare facilities during pregnancy and childbirth or suffer from treatable ailments which affect a vast majority of Adivasi women in that area.
Dr. Rahul Padval’s far-reaching initiatives has resulted in saving the lives of thousands of patients who come with high-risk pregnancies and treatment of more than 1 Lakh 25 thousands of Adivasi women in Dahod and nearby districts for serious ailments related to pregnancy and reproductive health issues, menstrual health, malnutrition, sickle-cell disease, and other similar diseases that are treatable but remain undetected and untreated for want of better healthcare and monitoring by the health-care agencies owing to lack of education, awareness and social taboos.
Deeply moved by the dire circumstances, Dr. Rahul Padval was driven to improve healthcare facilities and fulfil his long-standing dream of making a difference in the lives of Adivasi women. Most of these women belong to poor socio-economic background and all their lives these Adivasi women have had some of the worst health and socio-economic indicators among the country in terms of maternal and reproductive ailments. Dahod is dominated by undernourished Adivasi females who go on to have risky or almost fatal pregnancies, resulting in very high maternal mortality rates as well as high mortality of new-borns. Poor health and lack advanced healthcare not only reduces women’s quality of life but their life expectancy and well-being. It creates a vicious cycle where women never enter the productive mainstream of society and are caught in the cyclical web of poor health, poor income, indebtedness for life and poor health of the offsprings, prompting the same in the next generation.
His dedication to saving lives and serving the local tribal population with advanced healthcare is evident in the remarkable reduction of post-partum mortality in Dahod. This serves as a compelling case study, highlighting the positive impact of focused healthcare on women's well-being, infant survival, and their increased participation in the workforce.
By implementing cutting-edge facilities, such as sonography machines, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, advanced Minimally Invasive Vaginal Surgeries, Laparoscopic Surgery, and establishing a specialized 'High Risk Pregnancy Unit' in his hospital, Dr. Rahul has revolutionized rural healthcare, delivering remarkable outcomes for his patients.
Padval Women’s Superspeciality Hospital, his institution, provides advanced care at an affordable cost, and at times, even free of charge, particularly for critically ill tribal women who require lifesaving procedures and specialized attention.
As a young student from a village, Dr. Rahul recognized the dearth of proper healthcare facilities in his area and has dedicated his life to breaking the cycle of poverty and underdevelopment. Pursuing medicine as his field of study, he earned his MBBS degree and chose to serve in India instead of pursuing a comfortable life abroad, exemplifying his commitment to his mission.
Dr. Rahul, established a hospital which has now become a critical factor in improving the lives of tribal poor women in his area. These impressive statistics attest to the impactful work done by Dr. Rahul M. Padval. Patient data are meticulously recorded for all the mentioned procedures.
Dr. Rahulkumar M Padwal, started his career as Medical Officer class 2 at the Govt. Hospital Dahod, come in contact of 5219 OPD (as per govt.record) patient in one year and learn and understand problems facing by many poor tribal women. He is dedicated to his work, what sets him apart from others. Go for specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2011.Again,re-join same Govt. Hospital and start working as Gynaecologist class1. Within short span of around 4year more than 500 deliveries per month and more than 6000 Obst. & Gynae. surgeries were performed in Dahod Govt. hospital and make confidence of tribal women’s in govt. services. Completed more than 50000 ANC check-up in 4yrs. Dedicated work and success towards the work was also noted by the govt. and that is why the state govt. gave an amount of three lakh rupees (source RTI) for extra works in govt. hospital as gynaecologist. This honour work as a fuel to do something more. But want “Social Transformation Through Dynamic Education” in this belt and plan women super speciality hospital in tribal belt having all the facilities with affordable rate to all poor tribal women with latest medical equipment. After that, Dr Rahul Padwal never looked back. In the year 2018, he started his own Padwal Women's super-speciality Hospital at Gram Panchayat, Raliyati, Dahod, 1.5 km. away from city and has continued the knowledge and service he gained in the medical field till date.
